The VMI "Commanders" Jazz Ensemble
The VMI "Commanders" were first formed as the "Ramblin' Keydets" in
1917 and provides music for dances
and social events at VMI and throughout Virginia. The swing band consists of 17 cadets
from all classes at the
"I" in addition to a vocalist. Members are selected by audition. Live Commanders
Recordings are available
